Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
Claydon Pre-school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Our Safeguarding policies and procedures are based on the following four key commitments
- Claydon Pre-school is committed to empowering children, young people, and vulnerable adults, promoting their right to be ‘strong, resilient, actively listened to, and heard’.
- Claydon Pre-school upholds a culture of safety in which children, young people and vulnerable adults are protected from abuse and harm in all areas of its curriculum and service delivery.
- Claydon Pre-school is committed to preventing harm and responding promptly and appropriately to all incidents or concerns of abuse that may occur. Working with statutory agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for every child.
- Claydon Pre-school is dedicated to increasing safeguarding confidence, knowledge and good practice throughout its training and learning programmes for adults, advocating support and representation for those in greatest need.

Our Senior Team – Becky Nunn and Claire Minns, also have the same level training as the Safeguarding DSL’s. All staff have up to date Level 2 Safeguarding training.

Our policies and procedures comply with all relevant legislations and advice from the Suffolk Safeguarding Board. Safeguarding is embedded throughout all our policies and procedures, which are available on our website here.
