Claydon Pre-school
The Pre-school staff team are caring, enthusiastic, imaginative and work to a high standard to follow the curriculum. Our Manager and all of our other Early Years Educator staff members are working towards or hold at least an NVQ 3 qualification along with valid first aid, child protection and food hygiene certificates.
At Claydon Pre-school we operate a keyperson system. Each child is allocated a keyperson when they join us. The keyperson is responsible for keeping up to date developmental records for each child via Famly. These records cover all areas of development through the initial phases of the Early Years Foundation Stage which carries children through to the end of Reception (foundation). By keeping them updated through observations we will be able to see how each child progresses during their time with us. Parents will be given access to the Famly app so they can see their child’s record at any time.
Hi, I’m Jo. I have been working at Claydon Pre-school since January 2014. I am level 3 trained and have been working with young children for over 15 years. I am also the Deputy SENCo(Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) and Designated Safeguarding Officer.
Hi. My name is Emma. I have a Level 3 Early Educator qualification, as well as a Degree in Early Childhood Studies with Psychology. I have also got achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Team Management. I am a mum of two children, both of whom came to Claydon Pre-school. When my children attended the setting, I joined the committee and became Treasurer before joining the staffing team.
In my spare time I love going away in my caravan with my family, going for walks with my friends, ballroom dancing, cross stitch and reading books.
I have a one dog, two cats and a rabbit.
Hi, I’m Claire. I am married with three children and qualified as a Nursery Nurse (Level 3) in 1995 - working as a Nanny for a year before moving to a private nursery for twelve years.
I am qualified in Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety, Safeguarding Children, Letters and Sounds, Two’s are Special and Level 1 in Makaton signing.
Hi, I’m Olivia. I have been working at Claydon Pre-school since July 2021, and I have a Level 3 Technical Diploma in Childcare and Education. I am currently at University studying FdA in Early Years Practice.
In my spare time I enjoy motorbikes with my family.
I have been working in Early Years education since 2012, gaining my Level 3 Diploma qualification in 2014. I have completed training as part of my role as Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator.
I have a son who is 12 years old and a daughter who is 10 years old. I enjoy running and going on bike rides and walks with my family.
Hi, I’m Lisa. I have been at the Pre-school since October 2011. Previous to this I had lots of experience in administration work through a Government Department.
