Claydon Pre-School is a charity-run setting, and that means we rely on a volunteer committee of parents and carers to help us run smoothly.

Why Join the Committee?

  • Have a say in how the pre-school is run
  • Help make decisions that shape your child’s experience
  • Support staff with fundraising and events
  • Meet other parents and build community
  • Use your skills (or learn new ones!) in a meaningful way
No experience needed — just enthusiasm and a bit of time!

What Roles Are Available?

We have a few named positions, and lots of general committee roles. Some examples:

  • Chairperson – Leads meetings and supports the Manager
  • Treasurer – Oversees finances (training available)
  • Secretary – Helps organise meetings and communications
  • General members – Lend a hand with fundraising, ideas, events and more!

Whether you take on a role or just lend your support when you can — we’re grateful.

How Much Time Is Involved?

  • One meeting per term (roughly once every 6–8 weeks)
  • Extra help at events or fundraising when you’re available
  • Most roles are very flexible and can be done around your family and work life

We would love to welcome you and your child to Claydon Pre-School!

Our Open Days are the perfect opportunity for you to explore our setting, meet our friendly team, and see what makes Claydon such a special place for early years learning. Whether you’re just starting to think about childcare or you’re ready to enrol, our Open Days are relaxed, informal, and designed to give you all the information you need.

What to Expect

  • A guided tour of our indoor and outdoor learning spaces
  • Meet our experienced staff and ask any questions
  • Learn about our routines, curriculum, and approach to learning
  • Get a feel for our warm, nurturing environment
  • See how we encourage children to play, explore and thrive

Children are very welcome to attend — it’s a great way for them to feel at ease and start exploring their new environment.

Upcoming Open Day Dates

We currently have the following Open Days planned:

  • Monday 6th October – 6pm to 7pm
  • Wednesday 11th February – 6pm to 7pm
  • Tuesday 14th April – 6pm to 7pm

No booking is required — simply turn up on the day.
